[b<>com at IBC 2024]  broadcast & media tech that delivers profitability

IBC 2024 HDR AI watermarking deepfake

Our goal is to develop innovative, proven technologies that meet your needs and, ultimately improve your profitability. This year, more than ever, we are living up to our ambitions. IBC 2024 will be an opportunity to present cutting-edge technological solutions that can truly make a difference. We invite you to schedule a meeting with our team to discover how our advancements in artificial intelligence, HDR, and video watermarking can help you become more efficient, resilient, and secure while saving energy. Ultimately, these innovations are designed to boost your profitability.

Discover the solutions we will be presenting on our stand this year:

b<>com *Sublima*

b<>com *Sublima* Already award-winning, recognized by the market, commercialized, and integrated into the video processing equipment of numerous international partners such as EVS, Apantac, and Harmonic, b<>com's *Sublima* technology enables real-time HDR conversions without compromising artistic intent. b<>com *Sublima* offers all the benefits of real-time frame-by-frame adaptive conversion techniques without needing manual adjustment.

Based on an intelligent algorithm, this technology guarantees optimal conversion regardless of the video content. The conversion requires no metadata and ensures a roundtrip conversion with no loss of visual quality. *Sublima* truly lives up to its name!

Award winning HDR converter

New at IBC 2024 for *Sublima*:
HDR anytime from the camera to the cloud

  • *Sublima* can be used at any stage of the workflow from production to distribution, in local video processing equipment or cloud infrastructures, as well as in set-top boxes or smart TVs.
  • In addition to being available on FPGA, CPU, and GPU on components from Altera, Intel, and AMD, the *Sublima* IP Core returns to IBC with a new frugal AI-based implementation using the NPU of a Synaptics SoC chip, enabling it to diversify its use on next-generation Set-Top-Boxes.
  • Furthermore, in an exclusive demonstration, b<>com will showcase the dynamic conversion capabilities of b<>com *Sublima* compared to static LUT conversions that do not utilize all the capabilities of the HDR format. You will see the difference!
  • Finally, b<>com will emphasize the relevance of using the HD HDR format compared to UHD in the context of energy frugality and cost optimization. Indeed, UHD is relatively bandwidth-intensive, while the HD HDR format offers a new user experience by boosting brightness and colors on HD infrastructures without overconsumption.

b<>com *Tag* : {weapon against video fraud}

For the first time at IBC, b<>com will showcase *Tag*, a stand-alone invisible digital watermarking solution (that requires no metadata nor connection to the cloud). You can integrate this technology throughout the audiovisual chain, from production to distribution.

The result is visually transparent (validated by Hollywood Studios' Golden Eye) and robust against video manipulation (e.g., compression, downscaling, camcording, etc.), also validated by the Cartesian benchmark.

Thanks to this technology, audiovisual creators can track and verify the integrity of their content by checking that the watermark is unchanged.

Given the increasing threat of deepfakes and digitally altered videos, *Tag* technology can also certify that content has not been modified and is authentic. Attend an exclusive demonstration at IBC!

Tag video watermarking

Already adopted by Viaccess-Orca to combat piracy of live and VOD content, this award-winning technology secures content monetization.

This digital watermarking technology will benefit camera manufacturers, video editing software publishers, and transcoder developers.

b<>com is a member of the C2PA alliance, the "Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity".

How can you delete unwanted images from videos, thereby saving storage and energy, but without any loss of quality?
Check out our smart variable frame rate technology
, b<>com *Wisdom*. Where other VFR solutions take no account of the content itself, but simply vary the number of frames according to the bandwidth available, b<>com *Wisdom* allows you to select the minimum number of frames in an optimized way, considering content and context.
It reduces the bit rate of compressed videos by up to 15%, with fewer frames to decode on the receiver side. The same technology can be used on the source before encoding, saving up to 40% uncompressed images to be stored and/or distributed to content providers.
