From July 3 to 13, 2017, b<>com invites the visitors of Océanopolis Brest to test out a new experience, "The Virtual Arctic Expedition." Equipped with virtual reality headsets and headphones, the volunteers, in groups of four, are submerged 20m deep, in a hyperrealistic, virtual marine environment.

The Future of experience starts at Futures Park

{France, March 27th 2017} For the first time, the French innovation center b<>com has been selected to exhibit at NAB show’s Futures Park (booth N2035FP). It will present five cutting edge technologies, all focusing on achievements of our Hypermedia research department - one of b<>com’s strongest fields of expertise: ultra-high definition images, 3D sound, smart content, and virtual and augmented reality. Among the hot topics showcased will be SDR to HDR conversion and new immersive content and experiences.

One year has passed since the ORPHEUS project was kicked-off. Dedicated to improving the management of audio content to create new user experiences, this European research project gathers 10 partners from Germany, UK, the Netherlands and France, among which b<>com. The challenge? To advance the concept of “object-based audio” to offer immersive and interactive content that adapts to the user.
