The “Cyber ​​Health Range” project proposes the implementation of an interregional Cyber ​​Range platform across Brittany allowing the assessment of the level of cyber-robustness of medical devices and health software.

Led by the Excellence Cyber ​​Center with the participation of 3 industrial players in the center, experts in cyber security: AMOSSYS, DIATEAM, and b<>com, the objectives of the project are threefold:

  • Create an inter-regional simulation platform (Cyber ​​​​Range) to encourage and support innovation in the field of cybersecurity;
  • Offer a service allowing SMEs to test their solutions in a simulated environment before being placed on the market;
  • Allow startups and SMEs to access markets in Europe more easily and thus reduce the time to market by 30% compared to the current situation.

For b<>com, the consistent work to adapt and integrate its b<>com *Serenity* multi-factor authentication solution into the platform, making it possible to authenticate terminals (PCs, tablets) and medical imaging devices, on a fingerprint basis linked to user connection information, medical image signatures, and a fingerprint comparison function (to authorize or not the connection request). This module will be integrated as a plug-in or an authentication brick extension. The contribution of the Cyber ​​​​Range is decisive for b<>com to design and test attack scenarios and to maintain a compromise between security and usability.

The Cyber ​​​​Range Health platform will be intended for medical device and health software publishers, integrators, and health establishments who would like to have a testing platform to reduce the risk of occurrence of cyberattacks through a preventive approach.

It will meet the need to bring a medical device or health software into compliance with the regulatory requirements and recommendations on cybersecurity recently published by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products or by the Medical Devices Coordination Group (GCDM).
