[VIDEO] b<>com's people: Interview with Cathy Colomes

After graduating from ENSEA, Cathy continued her education with a Master in Music Technology at York University. After returning to France, she conducted thesis work at TDF in the field of signal processing. "The purpose of my work was to create automatic sound quality evaluation software."In late 1994, she joined France Télécom's audio lab in Rennes. She has worked there on audio signal processing and sound quality evaluation. "This is an exciting field where technology is constantly changing: We've gone from stereo signals to spatialized audio!". Since July 2017, she's been assigned by Orange for half of her working hours at the Advanced Media Content lab at b<>com. Her routine work is evaluating the audio quality of the applications developed at b<>com, based on subjective tests.
