Why they choose b<>com *Sublima*

nab-hdr-sdr-converter

b<>com will be present at the NAB show 2024, from April 13 to 17, to present our b<>com *Sublima* SDR-HDR converter. In the meantime, let's hear from those who use it, integrate it into their solutions, or, more generally, recommend it! Apantac, EVS, and Harmonic give their feedback.

"Sublima will become one of our flagships openGear cards"

We have been studying Sublima technology for two years. We finally announced our HDR up/down/cross converter at NAB 2023, and it has been in mass production since the summer of 2023!

We picked Sublima as our HDR conversion IP for several reasons. This IP is very compact and fits well within our current FPGA family. Another important factor was the low latency in the conversion process.

After we implemented it in our openGear family of converter/scalers, it became a very versatile product, I am sure it will soon become one of our flagships openGear cards.

"The dynamic conversions enabled by Sublima make pre-production set-up much easier"

"We've been using Sublima since November 2020. We integrated it into our MediaCeption solution to facilitate SDR/HDR file import/export to/from EVS XS/XT-VIA servers and perform the SDR/HDR conversions required in production (mainly in live production trucks but also in studios or broadcast centers).

In an OB van, it's often tedious for an engineer to choose the proper conversions (based on 3DLUTs); the dynamic conversions enabled by Sublima make pre-production set-up much easier and avoid potential configuration errors."

Stéphanie Neveux, Business Alliance Manager, EVS

"Real-time adjustments tailored to each scene unleash the full wow-factor of high-dynamic-range content"

Harmonic and b<>com have enjoyed a fruitful collaboration for over a decade, particularly in the realm of HDR technology.
We've strategically integrated Sublima HDR conversions into two main segments: Spectrum for production and playout, ensuring top-notch quality, and XOS/VOS Media for optimized video delivery, offering unparalleled viewing experiences.
Since the beginning, we've championed dynamic conversions for HDR processing. Real-time adjustments tailored to each scene unleash the full wow-factor of high-dynamic-range content.
