SUSTAIN 6G

European projects

sustain-6G

The consortium involved in the SUSTAIN 6G project (Sustainability Advanced and Innovative Networking with 6G) is evaluating and exploring sustainable 6G technologies, methods, and use cases in relation to the environmental, economic, and societal needs set by the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. The consortium develops solutions in three specific areas: smart energy grids, e-health and telemedicine, and agriculture. The aim is to establish a more sustainable 6G system and apply 6G to these verticals to make them more virtuous by considering the entire equipment life cycle. Thus, dedicated use cases and 6G network consider energy consumption reduction.

b<>com is involved on the technical side, exploring complementary access connectivity solutions, targeting space-saving and energy-efficient solutions for service continuity inside buildings.
