Created in October 2013, “Destination Rennes” is a local development corporation jointly owned by the city of Rennes and the greater Rennes Métropole area. “Destination Rennes” serves as a tourism office, convention and visitors bureau, and operator of the area’s future convention center, Le Couvent des Jacobins. The Destination concept, which is central to Rennes’ strategy for attracting tourism and business, leads naturally to partnerships with institutions that help promote the metro area by making it so appealing, and which, like b<>com, contribute to its reputation and reach in the tourism and convention markets.
