La plupart des formats médias de demain tendent à accroitre la sensation d’immersion dans les contenus. Transformer l’expérience de l’utilisateur final en le plongeant au cœur de l’action ou de l’information, tel est l’enjeu, particulièrement lorsque l’aspect narratif est clé.
Le laboratoire Nouveaux Contenus Médias construit des outils qui permettent la création, le stockage, le transport, et le partage pour et par le plus grand nombre. Il délivre expertise et technologies liées aux nouvelles caractéristiques et dimensions de l’image (résolution, volumique, colorimétrie, lumière,…), du son (spatialisé) et des nouveaux dispositifs de rendu (écran, projection, casques ou lunettes pour RA/RV en 3 ou 6 degrés de liberté …). Il développe des outils et solutions visant à faciliter l’adoption et la production de ces futurs formats par les professionnels du secteur, et in fine par le grand public. L’holographie et les systèmes de compressions sont également des expertises clé du laboratoire.
Les défis que soulèvent les nouveaux formats vidéo et audio ? Apporter toujours PLUS de réalisme et d’immersion dans l’expérience, tout en restant facilement utilisables et manipulables.
