Foresight & design
In addition to energy efficiency, technological uses that convey meaning and usefulness are coming to the fore. This means asking questions about the current and future consequences of new technologies. Foresight, design, and the human and social sciences are all tools for thinking about and questioning these impacts.

To better integrate societal and environmental dimensions into its research strategy, b<>com has developed a foresight activity. This discipline enables us to anticipate and study the impact of technologies on our society, economy, and environment. It extends to digital and responsible innovation themes and writes a forward-looking vision of a desirable future beyond the technological prism alone. At the same time, by putting people at the center of our thinking, b<>com uses design to improve the quality of experiences, making interactions more intuitive, while optimizing resources.

It is essential that the core of our technological research projects respond to the major challenges of today and tomorrow. In this sense, human and social sciences and foresight attempt to shape more sustainable and responsible futures by collectively questioning the impacts of new technologies on our societies.
