Celtic+ Project

To guarantee distributed, programmable, and flexible architecture that can support growth in traffic and cloudification of services for 5G, SENDATE studies, designs, and experiments a new architecture  to connect together Data Centers via high-speed, agile transport networks. Through a “software-defined networking (SDN)” approach, transport networks based on optical systems become flexible and enable smart adaptation to the needs of applications. After a vulnerability analysis phase, the project defines and implements the security components needed throughout the processing chain.

b<>com has contributed to this work by providing virtualized firewall functions based on SDN technology, as well as unified authentication mechanisms between Wi-Fi and LTE access.
